About Us

Hi there, and welcome to our site!

Aberdeenshire Film Productions was formed in February 2016 by a group of people who wanted to learn how to make films. The aim of the group is to have fun making all sorts of short movies.

Since our start up we have moved forward and have progressed into an unincorporated association.

Membership is £30 per year (which is just over 50p per week) to cover for the public liability insurance and the website cost. Membership will give you the privilege to attend meetings, receive meeting minutes, participate in all aspects of our film making, and get your credits on the white screen. Actors are free from this membership fee.

We have a General Meeting every second Tuesday of the month, held at 7pm in Hopeville Social Club in Inverurie. Parking is available and the train station in Inverurie is within walking distance of the club. You can attend two general meetings before deciding to sign up with us.

We’re always in need of extra people. Check out the ‘Wanted’ page for the latest update. You need to be 18+ and crew need to have their own transport to get to and from meetings/shoots. And sorry, but we generally don’t have meetings in Aberdeen.
