‘Bennachie Climb’ is a temporary title for a short about a man wanting to get to Mither Tap on Bennachie. This is a short that requires long-term planning as it is supposedly happening on different days throughout the year.
The first shoot was done on the 14th of January 2017, when there was a fresh layer of snow and plenty of sunshine (which was a bonus). It was a long day, we spent six hours in the snow!
It is actually the third shot in sequence and care needs to be taken that the later shoots don’t look out of sequence. The snow was beautiful in the sunlight, but if we still think that in post-production remains to be seen. It was also amazing how fast the batteries drained in the cold weather.
We had three camera men; David, Andy, and Leon. Andrew was our actor again.
